If you are uber pushy, refuse to take no for an answer, and don’t mind being a thorn in someone’s rear then this is the place for you.Ī typical work day consist of speaking with customers every chance I get and informing them on the importance of having your HVAC system tuned up at least twice a year, and assisting them in having someone come check out their system if they feel that it needs to be replaced, entering leads into the computer, and following up with leads that were lost for whatever reason or that had to be rescheduled. Not to mention, in the midst of COVID-19 some people don’t want a random technician in their home, or money is tight due to layoffs. I’ve had one customer say he lives in jail so he doesn’t need one. literally anything to minimize further conversation. ![]() These are services some people literally don’t care about, you’ll hear answers such as “My (blank) does it for me”, “Oh, I’m renting”, “Just has it done”. Management literally wants you to have a rebuttal to every “No, thank you” the customer gives you, which after a while comes off as pushy or harassment and you as a rep begin to feel uncomfortable. You will be sent home if you don’t receive leads in a specific daily time frame. Your job is get people to sign up for services (A/C system tune up or free in-home estimate on new HVAC installs.) The problem is management will completely place blame on you because people don’t want to sign up for the services. You’re placed at a Home Depot location as an HVAC Authorized Service Provider through their Home Services Department.
